Atsuo Hukuda has exhibited his Colour and/or Monochrome paintings at Hebel_121 for the first time 2005, together with Kenzo Onoda, a light and sound performance artist. After ten years he will show the new development in his work in the front space. and in addition he will present works by seven young artists from Japan in the front space and in the back space.
Atsuo Hukuda is combining traditional Japanese painting with his own ideas of painting, choosing silver toil as one of the antique colours of Japan. With the transparent colour of his own choice his work is changing its appearance as time goes by, creating reflection and transparency.
